DISCLAIMER:
All handmade products of The Salty Dog Boutique are individually dyed and, as such, dye transfer onto the coat of your animal is possible, especially if the product becomes wet and left on the animal for a period of time. The purchaser fully accepts this may occur when using a Salty Dog Boutique product and is advised not to allow the pet to swim while wearing our products. The Salty Dog Boutique will not assume responsibility or liability for any dye transfer.

All Salty Dog Boutique products are made from 100% natural, grade 1 leather and, as such, we cannot guarantee that dye will not transfer, consistent with all premium, high-grade natural leathers and suede. No wet collar, lead or harness should be left for a sustained period of time on a dog as water contact can cause the dye to transfer. This potential transfer may affect the leather and must be treated after being naturally dried. We recommend that you never leave a leather collar, lead or harness on a radiator or heat source as it will dry out the leather and potentially cause dry rot and/or cracking. Allow the product to dry naturally then treat the leather afterwards. Salt water may also tarnish the 18k gold plating. If it gets wet, all leather and suede products must be treated with a good quality leather balm to maintain the leather and protect it.

Our products are premium (for best) dog couture items, and are not designed for more demanding pet activities such as swimming and muddy, muckier adventures.

Cancellations, Refunds and Returns

All of our branded leather and PVC designs are hand made with love and attention.  On very rare occasions,  a crystal or stud may come lose. It is our policy that we will repair the product to ensure it is back to how it should be within 2 weeks of receiving it. If we cannot repair the item, a replacement item of the same design or the same value will then be issued.

For orders for goods that have been custom-made cannot be returned for a refund unless faulty or damaged. Full payment must be made upfront before the item is commissioned. As all our items are individually created, please allow up to four weeks for delivery. When you have ordered your item, we will contact you to inform you when your item is ready for collection.

Orders will be made to the sizes provided when ordered. Any mistakes when measuring are not the responsibility or liability of The Salty Dog Boutique Ltd. We cannot accept returns or offer refunds on items that were measured wrongly by the purchaser at the time of the commission. Upon receiving your order, you have the right to return the item in its original condition within 7 days. We cannot accept returns on bespoke items unless there is a fault with the product.

If you intend to return a product, you must inform us in writing or via email, enclosing your name, the type of product you would like to return and the reason you wish to return it.

When returning an item, you will be responsible for all return postage costs. All returned items need to be in new, unused and unmarked condition. A refund will be given once the item has been returned to us.

Incorrectly Delivered Goods

In the case of an incorrectly delivered item, the item must be returned in new and unused condition.
